Marks was founded in 1998 and specialized in providing solutions to all kinds of marking requirements. Initially it focused on high quality Marking Tools such as Interchangeable Steel Types, Punches, Numerators and Customized Stamps. The company has its headquarters in Pune and these Marking Tools were sold in India through a team of dedicated Sales Engineers. These Marking Tools were initially sourced locally in India.

Marking Tools :- Marks Pryor Marking Technology makes use of the latest state of art technology for manufacturing a variety of Marking Tools viz. Pryor Steel Types, Punches, Automatic Numbering Heads, Engraved Packaging Types and Logotype Marking Dies. These are manufactured from quality tool steel and are hardened and tempered to withstand wear and give a long life. They are ideal for long production runs with minimum machine down-time. Hydraulic & Pneumatic Roll Marking Machines :- These machines are fully tooled up to suit specific customer requirements for marking on the periphery of cylindrical or conical components such as engine valves, shock absorbers, gears, flanges, shells, shafts, etc. Marks Pryor offer a package deal to customers comprising of Roll Marking Machines along with Marking Tools and accessories such as fixtures for locating and clamping the components to be marked. Dot Markers :- Dot Markers are highly configurable and fully programmable marking machines suitable for use in all industrial environments. The marking is carried out with a single conical tip stylus which indents the data to be marked on the component and produces a stress free mark. 2D Matrix Codes can also be marked. They can be used as stand-alone machines or they can be integrated with production lines. Standard rotary fixtures are available for marking on the periphery of cylindrical or conical components. Automated Z-axis feature can be used for marking on stepped components. These machines have RS232 ports for easy connectivity. Marking of components, sub-assemblies and assemblies at various stages is possible with these machines. Fragile thin walled components can be marked easily without any deformation. Automatic serialization of marked data, VIN number generation, batch numbers, date of manufacture etc. Can also be carried out. Customized Workstations :- Marks Pryor have in-house facilities for design, development and manufacture of workstations which can be integrated with customer manufacturing and assembly lines. These workstations are PLC controlled and communication with customer SAP system / Host Computer can be done through RS232 ports. Fully tooled up automatic workstations have been designed and manufactured for multiple-position marking of Main Bearing Caps and Cylinder Blocks on Automobile Assembly Lines. The operator clamps the Cylinder Block in position and starts the Marking Cycle - the operator is then free to carry out other assembly operations thereby improving productivity. Data to be marked was downloaded from the SAP system and after marking the SAP records were automatically updated. Productivity improved five fold and man made operator entry errors were totally eliminated. Similar customized workstations could be manufactured for crankshafts, connecting rods, chassis, engines, etc. For both two wheelers and four wheelers. 2D Data Matrix Coding :- 2D Data Matrix Coding, the international standard for identification and tracking of products and their component parts, is widely used by the aeronautical and spacecraft industry for traceability. These 2D Data Matrix Codes are also now being introduced in India in the Automobile and Engineering Industry. Absolute Vision Ltd., UK, a subsidiary of Pryor, manufacture these 2D Data Matrix Code Readers. Marks Pryor can now offer a Total Solution to customers ranging from marking of data to reading of 2D Data Matrix Codes. Laser Marking Machines :- Laser Marking Machines can be used for marking alpha numeric data, logos and 2D Data Matrix Codes on hardened and finished components. Even fragile, thin walled components can be marked as the laser beam burns and vaporizes the material and produce a permanent mark on the component.
